A dance floor that keeps going after the venue's noise limit kicks in.
High-quality wireless headphones let your guests tune in to multiple DJ channels and dance the night away without a sound complaint. The room stays quiet for anyone not wearing a headset. The dance floor stays loud for everyone who is.
Guests grab a headset, pick a channel, dance.
If you have never been to one: each guest puts on a wireless headset, turns a dial to choose a channel, and dances to whatever is playing on that channel. The room itself stays quiet, so anyone not wearing a headset can still hold a conversation. Take the headset off and the party goes silent; put it back on and you are right back in it.
Three channels, one dance floor, zero noise complaints.
Each guest gets a headset that switches between up to three live audio channels. Channels glow a different color so it is easy to see who is dancing to what, and easy to tease the friend on the wrong channel. We mix the channels live, just like a normal set, so the energy still moves with the room. How you stock the three channels is up to you: multiple live DJs going head to head, one live DJ paired with two curated playlists (think dance, throwback, chill), or all three channels running themed playlists if you want a leaner, lower-key setup.
Late-night, outdoor, or noise-restricted venues.
Silent Disco solves the problems weddings actually run into: a venue with a hard 10 PM noise cutoff, an outdoor reception next to a neighborhood, a barn with thin walls, a hotel ballroom with rooms above it. It also unlocks the after-party most receptions never get to have, because there is nothing the venue needs to shut down.
- Late-night after-parties. Keep the dance floor going past the venue's noise curfew without an argument.
- Outdoor and tented receptions. Run a full dance floor without bothering the neighbors or the local ordinance.
- Multi-generational rooms. One channel for the dance hits, one for chill, one for throwback. Everyone finds their floor.
- Acoustically rough rooms. Brick warehouses and metal barns can be hard to mix in. Headphones bypass the room entirely.
- Real-time interpretation. Dedicate a channel to a live interpreter so bilingual weddings, ceremonies, toasts, and corporate presentations land for every guest in their language.
- Wireless audio anywhere. A mobile transmitter lets the audio leave the dance floor for send-offs, mini parades, or guiding guests between ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces.
Headsets, channels, and a tech running the floor.
- Wireless headsets. High-quality LED headsets sized to your guest count, with spares on the cart.
- Up to three live channels. Mixed live by our DJ from the booth, the same way a regular set is mixed.
- On-site tech. A team member manages handouts, returns, and any guest who needs a quick swap mid-night.
- Sanitization between events. Headsets are cleaned and inspected before every rental.
How it pairs with the rest of the day.
Silent Disco is most often booked as an add-on to the Signature or Full experience to extend the dance floor past the venue's amplified-music cutoff. It also pairs naturally with Uplighting for a late-night look that does not need the main rig, and with the MirrorBooth so guests have something to do during the channel swaps.
Common questions.
- How many headsets do we need?
- We size the headset count to your guest list. Most weddings land between 50 and 150 headsets; we can scale higher for corporate or private events.
- Will guests think it is gimmicky?
- Sometimes for the first ninety seconds, then the floor takes over. Multi-channel sets are genuinely fun, and noise-restricted venues turn it from a novelty into a necessity.
- Can we run a regular dance floor and then switch to Silent Disco?
- Yes. We commonly run amplified music up to the venue's noise cutoff, then switch the floor to Silent Disco for the final hour or two.
- Can the DJs on each channel take requests?
- Yes. Channels can be themed (open format, throwback, slow) or left to the live read. We agree on the channel plan with you ahead of time.
- Can you handle a bilingual ceremony or speech?
- Yes. We dedicate one channel to a live interpreter so vows, toasts, speeches, and presentations are translated in real time. Guests pick the language channel they want and hear it cleanly, without anyone in the room having to repeat themselves.
- Can the audio leave the dance floor for a send-off or parade?
- Yes. With our mobile transmitter the audio travels with you, so we can run a sparkler send-off, a mini second-line parade, or guide guests from ceremony to cocktails to reception with music in their headsets the whole way.
- What if a headset stops working mid-song?
- Our on-site tech swaps it out at the cart in under a minute. Spares are built into the rental.
