Love & Light Entertainment

Bar and bat mitzvahs, milestone birthdays, and the private parties that matter most.

From bar and bat mitzvahs to milestone birthday parties, anniversaries, and private galas, we run your celebration with the same discipline as our weddings. Private events are some of our favorite rooms to work: the stakes are personal, the guests usually know each other, and we bring the same DJ/MC, sound, and run-of-show standards as our weddings, scaled to the room you are throwing.

A team you can actually plan a personal event with.

A milestone birthday is not a wedding, but it deserves a planning conversation, not a form. We sit with you, learn who is in the room and who is not, and shape the night around the moments that matter: the toast from your oldest friend, the song that always gets your father out of his chair, the surprise reveal you have been holding for weeks. Then we run it cleanly so you can stop being the host long enough to enjoy it.

The kinds of private events we work.

  • Bar and bat mitzvahs. An MC who reads two crowds at once, the kids and the adults. We handle the hora and circle dances, cue the candle-lighting and montage cleanly, and keep the music age-appropriate with the do-not-play list you set.
  • Milestone birthdays. 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, and beyond. We score the surprise moments and we keep the floor honest the rest of the night.
  • Kids and teen birthday parties. Clean edits, the games and shout-outs that land, and a host who keeps a young crowd moving without talking over the moment. We scale the energy to the age in the room.
  • Anniversaries and vow renewals. Five years in or fifty, with the option to add a Civil Celebrant if you want to formally renew vows in front of the people who were there the first time.
  • Engagement parties and showers. Smaller rooms with the same standards. Microphones that work, music tuned for conversation, and a moment of energy where you want it.
  • Reunions and family gatherings. Multi-generational rooms are our specialty. We read the family the way we read a wedding floor.
  • Holiday gatherings and private galas. Cocktail-hour standards, dinner volume, and a dance floor on cue. Or none of the above, if that is not the night you are throwing.

How a private event with us actually goes.

It starts with a real conversation, not a quote in your inbox. We learn the guest list, the room, the moments you want, and the moments you want to avoid. We build a short run-of-show with you. Day of, we arrive early enough that the setup is invisible to your guests, we run the moments quietly, and we close the night on purpose with the song you want. Same restraint, same redundancy, same person on the day as our weddings.

Common questions.

Do you DJ bar and bat mitzvahs?
Yes. Bar and bat mitzvahs are one of our favorite rooms. We MC for two crowds at once, handle the hora and circle dances, cue the candle-lighting and montage, and keep the music age-appropriate with the do-not-play list you set.
Is there a minimum guest count?
No. We work intimate dinners and we work three-hundred-person parties. The setup scales; the standards do not.
Can you MC the surprise or the toast?
Yes. We can MC, or we can quietly hand a microphone to whoever you want at the front of the room and cue the rest of the night around them.
Do you take requests from guests?
Yes, with the guardrails you set ahead of time. If a request fits, we play it. If it breaks the floor or hits a do-not-play, we have a polite way of redirecting.
Can we add lighting or a photo booth?
Yes. Uplighting, gobo monograms, a MirrorBooth, audio recordings, silent disco for late-night, and more. Each is opt-in and we will tell you which are worth it for your room.
Do you work weeknights?
Yes. Weeknight bookings are common for private events, especially milestone birthdays around the actual date.
